We purchased a new computer last March and even though it has 4GB of Memory, I don't want a lot of
stuff on my hard drive. Also, we all know how important it is to back
up all our documents and photos. So I googled "Free Online Storage" and
came up with a few options that I am now using. My favorite site is ADrive. ADrive gives you 50GB of storage for FREE. It is very easy to upload documents and fast upload. I also use Mozy,
which will automatically back up your documents and photos each day. It
gives you 2GB of storage for FREE. I also created a Gmail account
specifically for sending all my documents to for storage. So I have my
documents backed up via 3 methods and all are accessiable online from
any computer. For photo storage, both DH and I have PhotoBucket accounts. We load our pics onto our accounts. We also use Picasa
for Picture storage. Also, Mozy backups our photos. So our photos are
also backed up via 3 methods and all available online from any
computer.
Once we have our Documents and Photos backed up we
delete them from our hard drive, therefore allowing our computer to run
at maximum speed and strength. Also, by backing up our things, we know
we won't lose anything in case of computer break down.
It is very important to back up your computer, but it could be costly. I was able to find FREE methods and I totally recommend all sites mentioned.
