A very popular baby shower gift is an array of baby care products such as Johnson and Johnson, Huggies, Baby magic body wash. These products often give us the "clean baby smell" that we, as mothers, love so much. Baby Acne is very common in newborns. Brand new smooth baby faces suddenly get speckled with bumps. The new mother cringes as she gets a flashback to her awkward teen years! Often times, these products, which are marketed for babies actually have quite a bit of chemicals in them that can irritate a babies delicate skin. I tried Dove soap when my daughter was a newborn and it cleared up the acne quickly. I never bothered with the baby body washes this time around and used Dove soap from the beginning and my son never had any acne at all. It may not work for everyone but it is certainly worth a try and Dove soap is much cheaper than the other baby products too! |
